I love showing progress of pics so here I go again, next “making-of”, this time it’s Deathmask fanart which you can find on DA~

If I were ever to make a tutorial it’d probably look like this… Maybe with slightly more text XDD Jk, I like tuts a lot but never get to learn from them much, they often are like “basic colors” and magically shading appears on next screenshot XD Still, I can imagine how hard it must be to make a tutorial, I’d have huge problems to create one myself oO

I’ll be working on Ciel and AlicexBoris now~ Till next progress update 8D

Making of Matoba Seiji pic

1) Watched two first Natsume Yuujinchou Shi eps -> need to draw Seiji <3 -> rough sketch of what first comes to mind (Seiji at front, youkai under his power in bg, white lights representing killed youkai around)
2) Sketching Seiji… realizing how hell stiff his pose is XD changing to one more fail ;;
3) Took a photo of myself with similar pose as sketch 2) and thanks to that reference final sketch appears XD
4) Lineart (my most disliked part >.<)
5) base colors 6) finally fun begins! shading skin 7) shading hair and eyes
8) shaded clothes 9) added bg according to sketch 1) but don’t like how main youkai came out (it’s like his staring at us, scary! XD), bg colors are too similar to chara’s and it looks like it’s snowing ;;
9) liking dark youkai better, still wondering about colors but at least it’s darker
10) yatta \o/ it’s more evil now hehe. Choosing in the end red which reminds me of blood spilled by Seiji when he killed youkai back in 3rd season. Adding seals.

11) Touch up in PS - adding brushes and texture. And back to frames, I liked the idea too much to leave pic empty like in 10), now all done~

I like how final looks like compared to 1) and 2) XDD but is it me or Seiji still have quite stiff pose? o_o;;

さねひま <3 Wanted to draw something simple to get my drawing mood back but it ended up as Mawaru Penguindrum fanart again |D;; I want to see more scenes with these two x3

And no, don’t take perv Sanetoshi seriously he just got in mood that’s all XD
